BLM

As a white woman and creator I’m not going to lie and say I’ve never been inspired by the Black community. In fact, I was first inspired to create The Lion and The Lamb composition by the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020. I would continue to hear the phrase in my mind, The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth, as these protests were unfolding.

And, I created the Fierce Femme on a Cliff during the same time period.

Fierce Femme on a Cliff

Shop Angie Rae came to be because I wanted to share beautiful creations and bring a smile to people while supporting myself and my family at the same time. I wanted to be able to use creation to create even more financial stability for all of those around me too, my family, my friends, and my community. That’s where The Inspired Line was born from. Well, I feel like The Inspired Line can’t help but to grow with another addition.

Black Lives Matter, which has called for white people to check their privilege, stand up against racism and racists, and put our money where our mouths is has helped me to realize that I owe the people in the Black community. It is also true that I’ve been inspired through out my whole life. That’s why I will give 100% of the profits I earn from THE BLACK LIVES MATTER CATEGORY to BLACK LIVES MATTER at the end of every quarter. I also want to support Black owned businesses and Black creators by linking to various creators from my site. It’s not about me getting attention or profiting but about being the change I want to see. I want to see a world where white people DO think about and DO include everybody in their art work. We are not alone on this earth!

Anything you buy from the #BLM/BLM tag/category will be contributing to this donation. It’s just an easy way, to be honest, for me to contribute back to the Black Community. I didn’t make this website just to make a profit, but so that I could share creations and help bring positivity into the world and also financial stability to those who deserve it. We can all only do so much but to be able to donate profits from artwork that was INSPIRED BY Black people is truly just the least anybody could do.

There will be proof of donation at the end of each Quarter. I hope you enjoy the BLM Collection & find something special for yourself or someone special to you.

I hear you. I see you. I want to include you in my art work and not profit off of you. I know you can buy decor featuring beautiful Black children from Black designers, and that would be wonderful, but I also have heard many voices saying it is not fun, fair or right to walk into a store (whether online or in person) and not see one thing that represents you, or your children. So I’m trying to get that perfect balance. I may make mistakes. But I want the best for all of us.
